The KONE elevator leveling sensors 77U, 77N, and 77S are a set of commonly used bistable normally open sensors. Among them, 77U is the regular upward sensor, 77N is the regular downward sensor, and 77S is used to ensure that the elevator starts to decelerate before reaching the terminal floor. 

Control Method: The ordinary type is controlled by reed switches, while the upgraded version is controlled by chips. 

Operating Voltage: The voltage range of the ordinary type is 0 - 250V, and that of the upgraded version is 0 - 36V. The normal voltage used for elevator leveling is about 24V, and both types are applicable.

Product Functions

Car Position Detection and Positioning: The 77U, 77N, and 77S sensors, in cooperation with magnetic strips, can accurately detect the position of the elevator car in the shaft. 77U is used to detect the position of the car when it is moving upward, and 77N is used to detect the position of the car when it is moving downward. When the car is precisely located at a floor, both the 77U and 77N switches are activated, thus achieving accurate positioning of the car and providing accurate position information for the elevator's leveling control. 

Elevator Deceleration Control: When the elevator is approaching the end of the shaft during operation, the activated 77N or 77U switch will send a signal back to the elevator control system, causing the elevator to start decelerating from full speed, ensuring that the elevator can stop smoothly at the floor. And the 77S switch can ensure that the elevator starts to decelerate in advance before reaching the terminal floor, further improving the accuracy and safety of the elevator's stopping. - Synchronous Drive and Position Correction: When the position of the car is lost for some reason, the elevator will perform a synchronous drive to regain the position information. During this process, the 77U, 77N, and 77S sensors will work together to help the elevator quickly and accurately restore its normal operating state, ensuring the continuity and reliability of the elevator's operation. - Fault Monitoring and Safety Protection: These sensors, as an important part of the elevator control system, can monitor the operating status of the elevator in real time. Once abnormal situations such as incorrect positioning of the car occur, the corresponding sensors will act immediately and send signals to the control system, causing the elevator to take corresponding safety protection measures, such as emergency braking, to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of passengers and equipment.
