Landing door is the door installed on the elevator car and located on each floor opening (usually referred to as floor door). 

This door is part of the elevator car (i.e. the moving part where passengers ride) and usually moves along with the car. Its main function is to seal the entrance of the elevator car, ensuring the safety of passengers during elevator operation, while also preventing unauthorized personnel or items from entering the moving car. When the elevator reaches a certain floor, this door will open or close synchronously with the corresponding floor door (i.e. the door on each floor opening) to facilitate passenger access. This door is sometimes referred to as the "car door" or "inner door" to distinguish it from the floor doors fixed to the floor openings. 

The floor door is a fixed door installed at the entrance of each elevator shaft (i.e. door opening) of a building, which does not move with the elevator car. Its main function is to ensure safe isolation between the elevator shaft and the building floor, preventing personnel or items from entering the shaft by mistake when the elevator is not parked on that floor. When the elevator car reaches a certain floor and stops steadily, the floor door will open synchronously with the car door, allowing passengers to enter and exit safely. Similarly, when passengers completely leave the elevator, the floor doors will close again to maintain the safe closure of the elevator shaft. The design and installation of landing doors must comply with strict safety standards to ensure effective prevention of accidents such as falls in emergency situations (such as elevator malfunctions).
