Elevator Car Command Board Monarch MCTC-CCB-A Elevator pcb Expansion Board
The elevator command board is a significant control panel which is installed inside the elevator cabin. It has many kinds of functions to ensure the safe and the fluent movement of the elevator.
(1)Floor selection and control: The command board is normally equipped with a row of floor selection buttons. Passengers can select the floor they want to go to by pressing the corresponding floor button. Once the selection is completed, the elevator control system will automatically dispatch the elevator to the specified floor.
(2)Direction of movement: The command board may also include the buttons which indicate the elevator movement direction, such as, “up”, “ down”, etc. These buttons are normally seen in the old elevators or in some certain specific situations, but in the modern elevators, the system often automatically determines the direction of travel, and passengers do not need to select it manually.
(3)Door opening and closing control (depending on the specific design): In some elevator designs, the command board may also include buttons for opening and closing the doors, allowing passengers to manually control the opening and closing of the elevator doors in certain situations. However, this is usually not a standard configuration in all elevators, and in modern elevators, the opening and closing of the doors are mostly controlled automatically by the system.
(4)Information display and interaction: In addition to physical buttons, modern elevator instruction boards may also be equipped with display screens to display the elevator's current floor, running direction, fault information, etc. This information helps improve passengers' riding experience and provides necessary instructions when the elevator fails.
(5)Voice announcement function (available on some models): Some advanced elevator command boards also integrate a voice announcement function, which can automatically broadcast floor information when the elevator reaches a specified floor. This function not only improves the intelligence level of the elevator, but also facilitates passengers with poor eyesight.
(6)Fault alarm and emergency handling: The command board may also include an emergency call button or fault alarm function to contact maintenance personnel or issue an alarm signal in time when an abnormal situation occurs in the elevator. This is crucial to ensure passenger safety.

There is strong relationshop between the elevator command board and the elevator controller system: signal transmission and reception: The elevator command board is the starting point for passengers to issue operation requests, and the elevator control cabinet is the core component that receives these requests and processes them. When a passenger presses the floor button on the command board, the signal is transmitted to the main control board of the control cabinet through the communication interface for processing; Collaborative work: The command board and the control cabinet work together to ensure the normal operation of the elevator. The command board provides a user interface for passengers to operate, while the control cabinet is responsible for controlling the operation and safety protection of the elevator according to these operating instructions; Safety protection: In terms of safety, the command board and the control cabinet are also closely connected. The safety protection system in the control cabinet will continuously monitor the elevator status and make real-time adjustments based on the signals from the command board to ensure that corresponding measures can be taken quickly in the event of abnormal situations.
