How to self-check when an elevator fails

1. Preliminary observation and judgment
‌Check the display screen/fault code‌
Observe whether the elevator control panel or information display screen displays an error code (such as E01, E02, etc.). Some elevators will directly prompt the fault type1.
If the display screen does not respond, it may be an abnormality in the power supply or control system.
‌Check the door system status‌
Is the elevator door completely closed? If the car is still running when it is not closed, stop using it immediately5.

‌Confirm the leveling of the car‌
If there is a significant height difference between the car floor and the floor after the elevator stops (more than 10cm), it indicates that the leveling system is faulty5.

Metal friction sound or severe vibration during operation may be caused by wear of mechanical parts (such as wheel grooves, guide rails) or motor failure34.

If the car is misaligned with the floor, the door is not closed when running, there is an abnormal burning smell or leakage, you need to evacuate immediately and contact professional maintenance58.
