DESCRIPTION
The limit switch is the second layer of protection when the equipment is running. It can quickly disconnect the direction control circuit when the elevator car is close to the pit or the top, but it can continue to run in the opposite direction.
When the elevator car hits the upper (lower) limit switch, it will immediately stop running upward (or downward), but it can still run downward (or upward).
