Elevator leveling sensor switch Mitsubishi PAD-1 PAD-2 PAD-3 elevator parts

PAD-1, PAD-2, and PAD-3, as the leveling sensor switches of Mitsubishi elevators, are usually composed of permanent magnets, photoelectric elements and so on. They are mainly used to detect the horizontal position of the elevator car and ensure that the elevator stops at the correct floor.
Product Functions
Precise Leveling Control: Installed between the elevator car and the shaft, when the elevator approaches the leveling position of a floor, the sensors can accurately sense the leveling signal marks or magnetic strips in the shaft. Through cooperation with the elevator control system, they enable the elevator to stop precisely at the leveling position of the floor, ensuring that the elevator doors are flush with the floor surface for the convenience of passengers' entry and exit. Generally, the error can be controlled within a relatively small range, such as about ±5mm.
Assisting the Re-leveling Function: In cases such as changes in the load of the elevator, there may be slight misalignment phenomena. The PAD-1, PAD-2, and PAD-3 sensors can monitor the position status of the elevator in real time. When misalignment occurs, they will feed back signals to the control system and drive the elevator to make re-leveling adjustments, so that the elevator car can return to the accurate leveling position, thus improving the comfort and safety of the elevator operation.
Monitoring the Elevator's Operating Status: During the operation of the elevator, the sensors continuously send signals to the control system, indirectly reflecting information such as the running speed and direction of the elevator. The control system can judge whether the elevator is operating normally according to these signals. If the sensor signals are abnormal, the safety protection mechanism can be triggered in time to make the elevator stop running and avoid accidents.
Collaborating with Other Systems: These sensors closely cooperate with the elevator's door operator control system, car control system and so on. For example, when the leveling signal arrives accurately, the sensors will notify the door operator control system to open the elevator doors. When the elevator is ready to leave, they will collaborate with the car control system to ensure that the elevator starts smoothly in the leveling state, thus guaranteeing the coordination and reliability of the overall operation of the elevator.
