KONE guide shoes are available in three width sizes of 9mm, 10mm and 16mm, which can be adapted to the guide rails and installation requirements of different models of KONE elevators.

Materials: Common materials include nylon, cast iron and so on. Guide shoes made of nylon have relatively good wear resistance, self-lubricating properties and shock absorption performance, which can effectively reduce operating noise and wear. Guide shoes made of cast iron are of high strength and have a large load-bearing capacity, and are suitable for parts with relatively large loads such as counterweights. 

Types: They include sliding guide shoes and roller guide shoes. Sliding guide shoes achieve the functions of guiding and supporting through the sliding friction between them and the guide rails. They have a simple structure and relatively low cost. Roller guide shoes are equipped with rollers on the guide shoes, and reduce friction through the rolling of the rollers, enabling a smoother and more stable operation and being able to adapt to relatively high operating speeds.

For sliding guide shoes, the special lining material can reduce friction. For roller guide shoes, the rolling of the rollers is used to avoid direct sliding friction, thereby reducing the wear of the guide shoes and the guide rails, extending their service life, reducing operating noise at the same time, and improving the smoothness of elevator operation. 

Buffering and Shock Absorption Function: During the operation of the elevator, when the car or counterweight has slight shaking or vibration, the guide shoes can play a certain buffering and shock absorption role, absorb and consume these vibration energies, reduce their impact on the elevator system, further improve the riding comfort of passengers and the stability of elevator operation, and reduce the damage caused by noise and vibration to elevator components.
