Function of triangular lock

The elevator door lock is mainly divided into two parts, electric lock and mechanical lock

1 Electric lock

The function of the electric lock is to control the on and off of the door circuit relay. Generally, the door lock contact is directly connected in series with the door circuit relay coil in the machine room control cabinet. If a certain floor door is not closed properly, the elevator cannot run.

2 Mechanical lock

The mechanical lock and the electric lock act at the same time. In order to prevent someone from falling into the elevator shaft by mistake, the elevator is required to effectively lock the floor door after closing the door, and the door cannot be easily opened under a certain external force.

The triangular lock hole seen outside the elevator floor door is for opening these two locks. The electric lock and the mechanical lock are opened at the same time. After opening, the elevator cannot run. It is mainly used for elevator maintenance personnel to enter the shaft or pit for maintenance, release people in case of failure, etc.
